Company Selection

As the region’s premier risk capital event, the Ontario Venture Summit provides an opportunity for selected companies to present directly to a large audience of local and foreign investors, strategic partners and potential customers.

This year participation was open to all Ontario based companies. Companies will be selected by an independent panel of judges on their overall appeal to investors.

Presenting companies must satisfy the following basic requirements:

• Canadian-owned, privately held, Ontario based

• in knowledge-based industries preferably ICT, Life Science, and Cleantech

• must be actively seeking financing from institutional investors, angel investors, venture capital or private equities.

At the Summit, there will be four pitching modules tailored to the specific funding sources that these presenting companies target, i.e. institutional investment, angel investment and venture capital or private equity investment.

Companies selected to present at the Summit will be required to pay a nominal cost recovery registration fee of $600 (plus tax) – includes attendance for two company representatives to the Investor Reception on October 5th, the Summit conferences and Keynote Luncheon.
